WALTER SCHNEIDER GMBH supplies the industry with customized products according to drawings. The basis of success is to understand the customers’ demands on quality, environmental impact, reliability and price. Quality is a central concern of the company management.
Quality
1. Quality determines our activities at all levels, in all functions and areas of the company. It is the task of every employee to ensure a high quality of our products, processes and services, to increase customer satisfaction and our reputation as Walter Schneider GmbH.
2. Our processes are based on our internal and external standards, customer requirements, regulatory and legal requirements and expectations of interested parties. The fulfillment of all requirements and expectations is a binding goal for us.
3. We are committed to zero defects and defect prevention and maintain the highest quality standards for our products and services. We continuously improve our processes, products and services and see this as the basis for our continued business success. Our integrated management system is used to implement these goals sustainably.

ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINEBILITY & CLIMATE CHANGE
1. We pursue the goal of continuously improving environmental protection, conserving resources and reducing environmental impacts, even in the sense of climate change. This is a commitment to our customers, our fellow human beings and future generations. Our integrated environmental management system is used to achieve this goal.
2. Environmental protection is achieved through the active support of our employees and a solid environmental awareness for each employee in their daily work. Walter Schneider GmbH ensures that the necessary skills and knowledge in environmentally relevant areas are maintained and developed.
3. Our environmental protection activities and energy efficiency are based on the state of the art and the economic benefit.
4. We commit ourselves to comply with all environmentally relevant rules, laws and regulations, as well as customer-specific environmental requirements.
5. We pursue environmentally friendly approaches in the procurement of raw materials, consumables and supplied parts from external sources and expect our suppliers to comply with environmentally relevant rules, laws and regulations.
6. Our customized products are evaluated according to REACH, RoHS and the valid requirements for the use of chemicals and conflict minerals in cooperation with our customers.
7. Use of energy and raw materials, as well as their consumption and efficiency, are continuously evaluated within the company and improved to the best of our knowledge.
8. Indicators of impacts on the environment and climate change are evaluated by determining CO2 consumption.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
The health of our employees is a top priority. The main objective is to prevent occupational accidents and work-related illnesses and minimize related absences. We are committed to:
1. continuously improve workplace safety and health and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.
2. provide the necessary personal protective equipment and system-based safety devices and ensure the safe handling of our processes in all areas of the company.
3. to comply with applicable legal and other local and higher-level occupational safety regulations throughout the company.
4. implement effective measures to minimize the risk of potential hazards from chemical, flammable, explosive or toxic substances and other hazards.
5. to raise health and safety competence and awareness on a mandatory basis among all managers and employees, thereby creating and maintaining a safe working environment with the least possible impact on health.

Internal organization
Each department is responsible for implementing and maintaining the company’s policy within its area of responsibility. An important tool for achieving goals is our Integrated Management System (IMS).
